Horny Goat Express liquid extract is made from Epimedium grandiflorum, a powerful Chinese tonic herb whose first recorded use dates back to the ancient text, Shen Non Ben Cao Jing (ca. 200 B.C.-100 A.D.) where was it described as a warming herb that benefitted jing (semen or life essence). Used by practitioners for over 2,000 years, horny goat weed is several species of epimedium, a leafy plant which grows in the wild, most abundantly at higher altitudes.
