About Supplements.co.nz Now Foods Apple Pectin 700mg

Apple Pectin is a water-soluble fibre which has a gel-forming effect when mixed with water. It is a carbohydrate extracted from fruit and vegetables with some of the highest concentrations are in the skins, seeds and cores. As a dietary fibre, Apple Pectin may be helpful in supporting good intestinal health.

Benefits:

  • Water soluble fibre
  • Supports digestive health
  • May help lower cholesterol
  • Helps treat constipation – increases viscosity and volume of stool
  • Helps fight diabetes
  • Supports weight loss

Support:

Apple pectin provides nutritional support for healthy digestive function and overall well-being. This natural fibre has numerous health benefits, including the ability to serve as an effective prebiotic.

Apple Pectin may also aid healthy cholesterol levels by binding with the cholesterol in the gut, thereby preventing its absorption into the blood stream.

Apple Pectin also slows down the activity of enzymes that break down starches and sugar. Thus the absorption of carbohydrates and sugars is slowed down, preventing blood sugar spikes which may lead to weight gain and diabetes.

Directions

Dose (adults): Take 2 capsules 1 to 2 times daily with 8-10 oz. of water or juice, preferably 30 minutes before meals. Be sure to consume additional fluids throughout the day. Start with smaller dosages and gradually increase over several weeks.
